You May Be Wondering...

What is slow travel?

Slow travel is a mindful approach to exploring a destination, focusing on quality over quantity and making meaningful connections with the local culture. There is plenty to see and do, but we'll stay at least a few days in each place and avoid packed, busy schedules so we have time to soak it all in.

What can I expect during the trip?

Your days can be as busy or relaxed as you want. Itineraries are planned for each day, but you're under no obligation to follow them. Stick with the group for the day, or explore as much as you want on your own. The experience is meant to be flexible and adjustable to suit your preferences as much as possible. I'll be with you or not far off and reachable if you have questions or need recommendations. Enjoy your time!

Are we going to be doing a lot of walking?

I hope so! Consider this an active holiday. In some places, public transportation is readily available and easy to use, but you'll get the best experience by walking as much as you can. Be prepared to walk about 5-8 km per day, though we won't always need to do that much, and there will always be an option to take a cab or a bus if you've had enough.

How do I prepare for my trip?

You will need to book your flights, arrange your own health and/or travel insurance, make sure your passport is valid for long enough, and plan for banking/spending. I will provide information and suggestions for these, as well as for things like phone use, packing, handling jet lag, and more well in advance of our departure.

How do I book a trip?

You can book a trip by using the contact form on this website until the booking deadline. A deposit of $500 per person is due upon booking to secure your spot.
